Our Purpose
To lead underprivileged children and teenagers to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through offering free afterschool and summer time services, activities and programs which will lead them in becoming successful, contributing citizens of their communities and God's Kingdom.
Friendship House of Jesus offers a multifaceted out-of-school time program combining academic, physical, biblical and arts education, serving children between the ages of 5 and 17 years old. There are 8 individual classes for each age group of which are separated by boys and girls. We have 8 part time staff and 3 full time directors that consists of women that work with the girls and men that work with the boys. We believe girls need women to become women and boys need men to become men. The facility operates after school throughout the school year and half days in the summer. All participants receive services at no charge.

Our Activities
A typical day in the after-school and summer program consists of the following:
Transportation
We transport children to and from daily programming with our 3 fifteen-passenger vans.
Academic Tutoring
Volunteers and staff assist students with daily homework and other school class projects.
Snacks
A group of volunteers coordinate the needed supplies and donate snacks for the children to receive daily.
Organized Recreation
Between basketball, volleyball, kickball, football and a two- story playground our youth have plenty of organized outdoor activities.
Bible Study
The highlight of our program and the primary purpose of Friendship House is Bible study. We use a Bible curriculum called www.visualstorybible.org of which each class studies one Bible lesson per week along with memorizing a lesson specific Bible scripture.
Big Room
Each day ends with an event that is like no other. All student classes come together in our 4,000 sqft auditorium to participate in worship, dance, Bible skits, object lessons and games.
Art & Crafts
Each class has opportunity for art projects that pertain to weekly Bible lessons.
Music
We have noticed the influence that music has on our young people and have made it one of our program highlights, which includes an in-house, recording studio. Each week a Bible verse is put to music for the children to memorize. I have hidden your word in my heart Psalm 119:11
Beach Trips
During our June and July summer program, we transport nearly students, over 8 separate overnight field trips to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
Extra Activities
Occasionally we get to do a little more with the kids than our usual on campus activities. These extra activities include camping trips, swimming, fishing, garden projects and boating.
